Introducing
NoBruzeŽ Protective Padding
Dear Produce Director/Manager:
Do you want to reduce shrinkage losses in your produce department? Do you want to show the consumer your commitment to produce quality at the retail level?
NoBruzeŽ Padding Is The Answer!
Two accepted axioms in the produce industry are:
(1) The consumer is more quality conscious than ever before- and will shop where he or she perceives a strong dedication to top quality fruits and vegetables;
|
 |
(2) In the long produce chain from the field to the consumer THE LAST FIFTY FEET ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT!
NoBruzeŽ Padding will substantially reduce handling damage losses in the last fifty feet - and pay for itself in the first year!
Industry sources estimate produce shrinkage levels at 6% of sales, of which an estimated one quarter (1.5%) is due to bruised, cut or otherwise damaged produce caused by in-store handling, including the loading of display bins and shelves and the rotation of fruits and vegetables in the display areas. Based on 1995 grocery store produce sales of $40 billion, that's $600 million in shrinkage losses due to bruising and other damage to produce! USDA field tests have shown that even very small drops can cause internal and external bruise damage, which may not be readily apparent in the store. However, the effects of such bruise damage, namely softness, browning, mushiness and mold will certainly be noticed by the consumer at home and create a negative image of your store's produce quality. Don't let this happen!
NoBruzeŽ Protective Padding can reduce impact forces that cause bruising and splitting by up to 80%, cut your damage losses by 30% or more, and have an immediate impact on produce sector profits-at the same time showing your customers how much you care about produce quality! If our experience with grower/packers is any indication, NoBruzeŽ Padding will more than pay for itself in the first year alone!
What is NoBruzeŽ Protective Padding?
First of all NobruzeŽ Padding is not new- we've been successfully selling to growers and packers for over five years. We started in the potato industry back in 1992, and our customer base now includes grower/packer/shippers of over 20 fruits and vegetables in the US and abroad, including tomatoes, apples, peaches, pears, apricots, cucumbers, peppers, onions, citrus, melons, bananas, berries, cherries, etc. We deal with some of the biggest names in the business including Dole,
Delmonte, Sunkist and Tropicana. In fact, many of your grower sources are probably customers of ours!
NoBruzeŽ Padding is a custom made closed-cell PVC padding created exclusively for the agricultural sector. It combines high shock absorption with a tough durable skin and has consistently proven its ability to reduce bruising and other damage by over 30% for growers and packers. It is used to line truck bodies, hoppers, field bins, delivery boards, raw receiving areas in packing houses, and wherever there are drops onto hard surfaces on the grading, sorting, and packing lines, including
shutes, slides, diverters and transfer points.
Most importantly, NobruzeŽ Padding is the ONLY 100% PVC, closed-cell, high shock absorption padding with FDA approval for contact with fruits and vegetables. This means our padding can be used safely in supermarket receiving areas, produce department retail display areas and produce processing plants. In fact we have already begun shipping NoBruzeŽ padding to such well known processors as
McCains, ORE-IDA, Frito Lay, and J.R. Simplot.
NoBruzeŽ Padding's high shock absorption has been well documented in both field tests and in University and USDA research facilities around the country. Such tests have consistently shown its ability to reduce impact forces by up to 80% with a corresponding sharp reduction in bruising and other damage to fruits and vegetables - so much so that our padding easily pays for itself in the first year!!
You owe it to yourself and your customers to try our NoBruzeŽ Padding in your retail produce display areas and see what an impact it can have on your bottom line.
The solid sheets are perfect for non-refrigerated produce displays and will very shortly be available with diamond-cut air passages to maximize airflow for use in refrigerated displays. Due to the closed-cell structure, NobruzeŽ will not absorb water, fungus, or bacteria. It is easily cleaned with normal cleansers and disinfectants and the FDA approval means compliance with the strictest sanitary guidelines.
Please Note: ALL PADDING IS NOT ALIKE
Just because different padding may look similar and come in similar thicknesses does not mean they will display similar performance in terms of shock absorption and wear. You can always buy cheap-but that won't solve your bruising and skinning damage. TO REDUCE DAMAGE LOSSES YOU NEED MAXIMUM SHOCK ABSORPTION - NOT JUST CLAIMED BUT PROVEN IN INDEPENDENT TESTING.
NOBRUZEŽ PADDING HAS THE TEST AND
FIELD DATA TO BACK ITS CLAIMS.
